A Delegation of Ambassadors Received by the Layene Khalife General

Welcome Address to the Diplomatic Corps

Excellencies, Ladies and Gentlemen Ambassadors,

“On behalf of His Eminence Seydina Mouhamadou Lamine Lahi, 7th Layene Khalife General, I warmly welcome you to this place of deep spiritual meaning and history, on the occasion of the 146th anniversary of the Call of Seydina Limamou Lahi al-Mahdi (pbuh).”

“Your presence among us greatly honors the Layene Community. It stands as a strong testimony of mutual respect, esteem, and openness between peoples…”

On the second and final day of the commemorative activities marking the 146th anniversary of the Call of Seydina Limamou Laye (1843–1909), the Layene Khalife General, Serigne Mouhamadou Lamine Laye, received in Yoff a delegation of ambassadors accredited to Senegal.

Welcoming his distinguished guests, the Khalife General expressed his deep satisfaction and honor in receiving them, emphasizing that peace remains an essential condition for peoples to live together in harmony. According to him, their participation reflects a clear recognition of the universal dimension of the message carried by Seydina Limamou Lahi Al Mahdi, founded on peace, justice, human dignity, and fraternity.
